These images come from a series called 'Le Port Autonome de Marseille' shot by French photographer Philippe Piron.
Piron's portfolio recently impressed us here at M.E., showcasing a keen eye for detail in debris and architectural form alike.
Desolate, and at times, rather dystopian, we see landcapes and streetscapes devoid of people appearing both beautiful and ugly. The stars are truly texture and colour here, which encourage an inspection of urban, suburban and industrial environments.
