Construction work has recently begun on this unusual structure - a customs checkpoint on the Georgian border with Turkey at the shore of the Black Sea.
Designed by German firm J. Mayer H. Architects, it's due for completion in 2011.
The structure's cantilevering terraces mean the building can be used as a viewing platform, with multiple levels overlooking the water and the steep part of the coastline, as well as for patrol officers keeping an eye on the border.
In addition to regular customs facilities, the structure will addtionally house a cafeteria, staff rooms and a conference room.
