Jean Nouvel's Serpentine Gallery Pavilion closes in London on the 17th of this month, but it has just been announced that 2009 Pritzker Prize laureate Peter Zumthor has been chosen to design next year’s edifiice.
The Swiss architect will be creating what will be the 11th annual temporary structure in London’s Hyde Park. Over the years, architects such as Sanaa, Frank Gehry, artist Olafur Eliasson, Zaha Hadid, Alvaro Siza, and Oscar Niemeyer, Toyo Ito, Rem Koolhaas and Daniel Liebeskind have all designed the structure.
Can wait to see what Zumthor will come up with...
