A new exhibition of David Chipperfield Architects' work, spanning the last 25 years, will be opening on the 27th of October in Pisa, Italy.
To be presented at the Arsenali Medicei, 'Form Matters' - 'Questioni di forma' will take a look at key projects from the firm's archives and includes a large amount of primary material: original sketches, drawings and working models all showing the design proces.
Expect to see new projects as well as the 'greatest hits'; the Masterplan for the City (PIUSS) and The Regeneration of the Santa Chiara Area for the City of Pisa will both be on view.
There will also be an accompanying catalogue, published by Electa, containing a number of essays by David Chipperfield and an introduction written by Fulvio Irace.
The show closes in January on the 16th.
The exhibition 'Questioni di forma' is promoted by the Comune di Pisa and the Regione Toscana, and the major sponsors are Enel, Viabizzuno and the Shanghai Rockbund Master Development Co. Ltd. It is also supported by C.M.C (Cooperativa Muratori Cementisti Ravenna), Banca del SI, Edizioni ETS, Costruzioni Luigi Rota and Laboratorio Morseletto.
