As summer getaways go, this is pretty idyllic; and given the sticky heat we're experiencing at the moment here in the M.E. office, we'd give anything to be up in the mountains.
Take a look at 'Pavilion d'été à Sierre' which has been designed by Geneva based office Bassicarella Architectes, and built in Sierre, Switzerland.
The Pavilion is a single-storey summer home tucked away in the hills of Sierre - literally - since the whole structure has been directly inserted into the natural topography of the site.
The design explores the notion of invisible architecture that works with the landscape through sensitive use of form and materiality, rather than plonking an unsympathetic stricture in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Stunning views, from a pretty much almost secret location.
Perfect.
