Once again Jan Vormann has indulged his passion for plastic Lego bricks.
We covered his work this time last year, but for his latest project, Jan visited Berlin, filling the holes remaining from World War II damage. The intervention caused some interesting reactions from the public too; at one tourist hot-spot, Vormann found himself being spontaneously helped by people of all ages including children, parents and grandparents alike. Some of these helpers even took the project to another dimension with a variety of approaches that demonstrated the possibilities of constructing and repairing with little bricks... You can find the entire documentation online now here.
The event was also accompanied by an indoor exhibition at the Jarmuschek + Partners Gallery in Berlin-Mitte, Sophienstraße 18,where Vormann showed a handful of Kinetic objects. The exhibition will last until the 13th of June so catch it while you can.
Or, if you're planning to be in Amsterdam, go and see Platform 21´s Repair Project, where he'll be participating in later June.
