The curatorial programme for this year's Frieze Art Fair, including Frieze Projects has been announced.

Curated by Neville Wakefield and supported by Cartier, Frieze Projects is set to feature seven site-specific commissions by artists Mike Bouchet, Kim Coleman & Jenny Hogarth, Ruth Ewan, Ryan Gander, Per-Oskar Leu, Monika Sosnowska and Stephanie Syjuco who will all be presenting projects that regard the particular circumstances of Frieze Art Fair as an opportunity to create work that could not exist elsewhere.

Commenting on this year’s projects, Neville Wakefield said of the topics in hand: "Whether taking the form of grand architectural obstruction or finding new ways of protesting, authenticating or motivating our relationship to the objects we make, look at and buy, this year’s projects create aesthetic opportunity out of the uncertainty that has become the hallmark of our troubled times."

Cartier Award 2009 recipient Jordan Wolfson will present an intervention based on String Theory that continues his translations of culture and recent histories into a unique conceptual language. Frieze Projects will also include collaborations with this year's partner institutions Contemporary Art Centre, Vilnius and Arte Contempo, Lisbon.
