GESUNDHEIT

Last year, during the frenzy of media coverage over the swine-flu pandemic, James Sadler from Netherlands-based agency 180 Amsterdam organised a call for artistic interpretations of the sneeze.

And it's turned out to be quite contagious.

'Gesundheit' (meaning 'Bless You' in German) is an ongoing art project, open to anyone in the creative industry and aims to be the biggest artistic study of sneezing to date.

Accepting photographs, video, sculpture - any medium at all in fact, they've collected some great work (particularly photography) so far.

Eventually, the Gesundheit project is looking to launch the project in a gallery space where they'll auction off the artworks to raise money for a charity involved in the Swine-flu pandemic.

We think this is a great initiative - take a scroll through some of our favourite submisions in the gallery above.
