SUMMER PLACE

New York Gallery Bonni Benrubi is holding a group exhibition called 'Summer Place' which is set to open tomorrow.

This exhibition expresses the vitality of the summer season through the work of contemporary photographers who capture the leisure, athleticism, heat and psychology of the season through their images.

Highlights include new work by gallery artist Karine Laval, who transports the viewer to a place of pure sensual, existential experience, as swimmers splash and shimmer among the reflective waters of her exuberant yet nostalgic color pool images.

Susannah Ray documents the surfing subculture of Rockaway Beach, NY and Blair Seagram deconstructs and reconstructs surf and its riders in her large format, digitally manipulated panoramic images.

In addition, the show will also include the work of other emerging artists such as Samuel Powers and Adam Raphael, as well as established photographers such as Pete Turner, Wout Berger and LeRoy Grannis.

On until September the 25th.
