These actually made us do a double take; pretty much everything about them says 'photo', but in fact they're paintings.

They're works by young Californian artist Becca Mann, who uses found photographs as her starting point, quite a few of them Russian, and paints from there.

In some you even see photographic errors like light bleeds included in her compositions which enhances their beauty further.
