These pieces are the work of photographer Ikuo Kubota, who initially began his career shooting commercial images, but has since graduated to something much more beautiful.
This set of photographic artworks are taken from 'Furniture Music' - a solo exhibition of Kubota's work which has just opened at Gallery Speak For in Tokyo.
Appparently back in 2009, inspired by the timelessness of Erik Satie’s Musique d’ameublement ('Furniture Music), Kubota began building a body of artwork which he felt that could infinitely be enjoyed without growing old; and ended up with a series which has an otherworldly white-on-white supended state about it.
Ordinary things, gorgeously captured.
