This week for our Friday Five we're picking out some of the photography we've featured in the past on M.E.
First up is the astounding Surfland series shot using a historic tintype technique by Joni Sternbach. Capturing the surfers in Montauk's Ditch Plains, at the eastern end of Long Island, her work still amazes us over a year after we first saw it.
Next comes is the rather cinematic work of young lensman Will Govus who caught our eye with his strong movie-still captures back in January 2010.
More escapism at number three with Wayne Levin's magical underwater images. We've never seen the ocean looking quite so breathtakingly alien. Just gorgeous.
Also, how could we forget our fashion editiorial experience with Mr Chadwick Tyler? Shooting on location in Malta, Chadwick captured model Sofi Berelidze's dark side for a gothic fashion outing in the woods.
And last but not least, a visceral portrait of Jamaica as seen through the uncompromising eye of Peter Dean Rickards.
