We're captivated this lunchtime by German photographer Michael Schlegel's 'Massiv' series, and we reckon you will be too.

Shot last year in Italy, Schlegel has managed to impress a sense of huge scale and a savage kind of beauty in this set of stunning landscape images.

Another of Schlegel's projects has recently earned him some well-deserved recognition; his equally haunting 'Iceland' project recently won first place in the Fine Art/Landscape category at the International Photography Awards.
