Paris Fashion week has arrived and the birthplace of chic hasn't disappointed from the outset.

Fashion doyenne Martine Sitbon impressed us with Rue Du Mail's A/W 09 offering, a collection every Parisian party girl will covet. Although the model's eyes were rimmed with smudgy dark kohl and glitter, this was the only real chaos to the look - Sitbon's glamorous rock chick is refined and tailored, with tones of grey, black and cream made edgy with texture. Although the palette was muted, flashes of metallic fabric, clever pleats, drapes and twists, as well as sheeny leggings and hoods, provided a bold outline to many of the ensembles, proving Rue Du Mail is set to continue on a path of intelligent eclecticism that is never going to go out of fashion.
