CURVATURE

And so to London for the Spring Summer 2010 shows.

Antonio Berardi served up a grown-up series of boned and corsetted body-con mini dresses, but it was the extra elements here aside from this staple sillhouette that caught M.E.'s eye.

Exaggerated hip and shoulder shapes added edge to what could have been just plain old party frocks (nothing wrong with those, mind) and shots of colbat blue and tomato reds livened up a creamy palette; that, whilst in the best possible taste, was a little too safe for us sometimes. There was a grey silky tunic dress with a pale turquoise panel, and several little cropped and sequinned jackets which M.E. loved.

London Fashion week usually feels more experimental than this show, but there's absolutely nothing bad about a designer who seems to be creating well-constructed collections that are actually wearable.
