More New York Fashion Week picks for you - we're digesting what did happen in NYC alongside what is happening in London right now... Does anyone else get giddy at the pace of these shows?
We felt giddy when we saw Derek Lam's S/S 2010 collection - a proper, bright, cute, fun, yet tasteful selection of clothes that you'd really want to wear when the sun is out.
Juicy shades of red, turquoise, (we're seeing a lot of this - S/S 2010's hot colour?) lime green and blue popped next to fresh whites and cute girly pinks.
On the beach, at a party, on the terrace, during sunny Sunday walks, even at work in an office - all bases were covered as there seemed to no place where something from this collection wouldn't look right.
There were polka dots and florals amongst other bright prints, and these, when combined with flirty hemlines and nipped-in waists, meant it was truly one for the girls who like being girls.
And why the heck not? This was one beautifully put together collection that flipped the bird at androgeny.
