More playful and creative stuff from Stockholm Furniture Fair...

This showstopper of a table was exhibited by designers Therese Broberg and Susanne von Ajkay who work under the name Tb&Ajkay, and makes up part of their new collection of furniture and objects which they've created together with Karl-Johan Hjerling and Karin Widmark.

Their 'Spring Table' is made out of thin layers of molded birch plywood, creating a solid tabletop that breaks free at one end and forms separate bends.

Its construction reflects their aims for the collection as a whole, which, in their own words were to:

"... restrain and remold with different techniques. Using common materials such as wood, metal, paper, rock, cork, leather and fabric we create our own interpretation and a new expression. The final shape of the objects is where the materials limitations and our design is brought together."
