When we think Marimekko, we mostly think of cute, bright interior fabrics and furnishings, but this stunning 'Saramia' maxi gown by for the Finnish design house also demonstrates some serious high-end fashion credentials.
Designed by Samu-Jussi Koski for Marimekko's women's 2010 Spring collection, it makes use of one of the firm's many iconic prints - the 'Sateenkaari' pattern from 1971 originally created by Maija and Kristina Isola - but re-invented in a sophisticated matt-gloss silk-cotton fabric.
Saramia also comes in an adorable mini style too called 'Sabella'.
Is it greedy to want both versions?
