WONDERLAMPS BY STUDIO JOB AND PIEKE BERGMANS

Studio Job and designer Pieke Bergmans are presenting this collection of polished bronze objects with blown-glass lamps spilling out of them for Italian gallery Dilmos at the Salone this week.

Fantasy, wonder, and a playful sense of hope are themes which the two Dutch studios have bound together for this explorative collaboration which is currently on show in Milan.

Bergmans glossy blown bulbs are fused with seven, large scale bronze objects from Studio Job, resulting in a collection of objects that keeps each studio's style of work intact, yet sheds, as it were, new light.

Underlying it all, seem to be the idea of communication, where two design languages meet to interact and form a kind of poetic narrative in the body of a precious artefact.
