Inspired by different cultures, Debbie Wijskamp showed a collection made entirely from pulped paper at the DMY Berlin event; with pieces ranging from furniture to pots.
Wanting to design her own building material, Wijskamp experimented with the re-usage of wastepaper, which has resulted in a versatile material with its own characteristic appearance and structure.
Called Paperpulp, the larger pieces in the collection are made from pulped waste-paper, sawn up and treated like planks of wood.
In contrast with the cabinets, the Paperpulp tableware items are very fragile, more decorative designs where the colour of the pots depends on the amount of ink used in the recycled newspapers - therefore making every piece unique.
