Burlesque stripping!

Jean Paul Gaultier's Fall 2010 couture show was a proper old-school glam knees up - complete with an appearance from Dita Von Teese - who not only did a routine but also stalked the cawalk for this most Parisian of designers.

Entirely a nocturnal affair, black was the key colour, with a few pops of lime green and a divine selection of silvery greys.

Although the collection focused strongly on dresses, there were some beautiful coats too; M.E. loved the black batwing trench worn by Karlie Kloss with its severely belted waist and dramatic sleeves.

Strong shouldered silhouettes were in fact key to many pieces in this show, although we also adored a floor-length shimmery jazz-era gown.

Schiaparelli-esque headhear topped off pretty much every look, although the bride who came down the runway last had biggest head-dress of the lot; accessorised with a white violin...
