Baptiste Ymonet and Vincent Jousseaume are behind Atelier Polyhedre, an exciting French ceramics duo who create tableware and decorative pieces both as limited editions and one-offs.
And it seems that this September the pair are going to be pretty busy; presenting new work at both Maison & Objet in Paris, 100% Design in London, and also exhibiting some pieces in the exhibition "Circuits céramiques" at le Musée des Arts Décoratifs de Paris.
Here's a taste of what they'll be bringing to Maison & Objet and the London Design Festival with a peek at their new collection of carafes called 'ZAG'.
The set is a series of three finely chiselled carafes which explore the concepts of geometry and equilibrium. Each vessel is a play on straight lines and curves, criss-crossing into multiple open angles.
Cut away or hollowed out, the different planes subtly challenge the limits of balance and confront symmetry and asymmetry to catch the eye and surprise the hand.
Rather nice we think.
