A short while ago, we let you know about the 'Human Made' exhibition which will be taking place during this month's London Design Festival at the Tramshed in the city's east.
Well, here's a closer look at a firm who will be in attendance at the event showcasing their wares.
Another Country makes contemporary craft furniture; archetypal designs which call on the familiar and unpretentious forms of British Country kitchen style, Shaker, traditional Scandinavian and Japanese woodwork.
Their first collection, to be launched during London Design Week along with several new edition designs and is called 'Series One'; in their own words:
"...as clear and simple an interpretation of our intention as we could manage. We’ve taken familiar forms of craft furniture, pared them back to their most basic elements and made them using the most efficient workshop techniques and the best quality wood."
Aiming to deliver quality and longevity at fair prices - Another Country's products are built to last, both in terms of construction and style, and are made from solid wood, produced by hand in a small workshop in Dorset, England.
Our thoughts?
A very simple idea, very nicely done indeed.
