ONE HUNDRED PERCENT NORWAY 2010

Delicate glass works from Cathrine Maske and Klart Glass, as well as a host of new lamps from Northern Lighting are just a few of the home accessories which will be on display at the 100% Norway 2010 exhibition later this month.

The show, which forms part of the 100% Design event for the London Design Festival, will present some of the best design from up north; including product launches from porcelain queens Wik & Walsøe, new wall coverings from Scandinavian Surface and Hive, glowing owl lamps from Scusi and an exclusive first look at blankets designed by Anderssen & Voll for Røros Tweed.

Of the selection, show curator Henrietta Thompson said:

“This year we were so happy to see that the standard of work submitted for inclusion in the show was higher than ever. It is inspiring to witness a new generation of talented young designers emerging and very encouraging that the established manufacturers are not afraid to invest in it.

Doubtless there is a great diversity in Norwegian design today and any number of rich and fascinating stories to tell, and we can happily say that we were spoilt for choice.”
