THE LAST SUPPER

Fibonacci for your food? Yes please.

Take a look at Studio Lawrence's ‘Last Supper Table’ which was on show at the 100% Design London event during the capital's Design Festival, and is also in Eindhoven for Dutch Design Week.

Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s legendary masterpiece featuring the most famous, yet unseen table, Studio Lawrence’s bold and beautiful Last Supper Table is the designer’s interpretation of what lies beneath.

Designed and created by hand and available in three different design options, the legs are fundamental to the design, forming an integral part of the table.

Obviously, you say?

Well yes, but also thanks to a hidden steel construction, seperate tabletop elements can be combined so that the tabletop, which is apparently based upon the Fibonacci sequence (and composed of lacquered MDF planks in varying widths and compositions) can be swapped and altered, thus changing the table’s length and creating striped patterns.
