A gothickly puff-sleeved, immaculately cut, draped, and pleated collection with a hint of 30s secretarial sauce is what's on offer from top London fashion house Boudicca who have recently put their new Autumn/Winter ready-to-wear line online to view. An odd sounding mix perhaps, but typically for the brand, it works and we want it. Entitled 'Living In Time', historic details from a variety of eras are present in a melting pot that is uniquely Boudiccan.
Also recently released is their Couture collection entitled 'Essays' which involves masses of black tulle, and huge sculpural forms that wind around the body in electric blue and sliver. There's a beautiful video presentation to be found on their site too, detailing influences, reference material and the finished pieces themselves. Just plain gorgeous, and worth a click to marvel at their continued ingenuity and poetic creative process...
