There's a lot to be said for plain old shorts and tee shirts when it comes to summer dressing, but when you need to up the style anti in warmer months, it's often a tricky business...

M.E. loves these pieces that form part of a great Spring/Summer 09 women's collection from designers Julia Heuse and Ben Klunker. The pair met at the Esmond Fashion School in Berlin, graduating in 2006, and went on to form their own label; Juliaandben. For "Beauty Is My Boy"  they used dusty pinks, peaches and whites (key colours for this season) that meet greys and blacks in the form of subtly different takes on summer archetypes (the dress, the light pants). Texture, cut, additions and drapes, simplicity vs complexity. This is what we want to wear this summer.
