MINI MARVEL

Scandinavia's main fashion event, Copenhagen Fashion Week, kicked off this week and we've seen a show we loved right from the first day.

Take a look at the SS 2010 collection from Minimarket. The Stockholm-based label is the brainchild of three sisters who love 'mashing up sex and sophistication with Fairytales and magic'. This season they treated us to a sweet shop pastel palette inspired by aquariums.

Autumn 2009's love affair with slouchy mens trousers didn't go unnoticed by Minimarket who updated the style for sunnier climatic conditions here in sorbet hues. We were also pleased to see geek chic styling touches, such as ankle socks and round Gropius glasses (set to push the Wayfarer aside people) mixed with tube skirts with hemlines high enough to please any sex kitten. Another standout element were the enless array of innovatively tailored jackets; a great deal of which would fit very well in our wardrobe...

A bit sixies in feel, its as if the costume designers from Funny Face and A Clockwork Orange had teamed up to make clothes for girls. Not a bad thing in our book.
