Japanese eye-wear manufacturer JINS has created an intriguing project new project - an 'Architect’s Series' of glasses created by some seriously big names in the world of building buildings.

Twelve architects were commissioned (including names like Toyo Ito, Kengo Kuma, Ryue Nishizawa and Kazuyo Sejima of Sanaa...) and they came up with some pretty innovative ideas. We were envisaging twelve different versions of the square-ish thick black-rimmed type of eyewear so beloved of architects.

But we couldn't have been more wrong.
