After all the excitement of the fashion weeks, we're kind of hyped about S/S 2010, but in the real world, it's getting chilly, so no amount of gauzy chiffons and summery linens are going to keep us warm in the months to come.
So we'd like to talk about woolly jumpers.
And when we started thinking about woollens, these images came into view. This is the current collection from Swedish designer Sandra Backlund, who approaches garment design more like a sculptor than a fashion designer.
Although we don't really think comparisons are always the best way to describe things, we can't help feeling that she's a sort of a knitting Gareth Pugh - in terms of her strong shapes, avant-garde aesthetic and exploratory technique; always beginning with the human form and then shaping her work to distort, extend and transform.
We're transfixed.
