RETRO FEVER

One word. Retro.

If we had to sum up Vena Cava's collection for the coming winter in one word, that would be it.

Actually, no, lets add a few more words. New York, Seventies, the sort of thing you might wear to art exhibition openings (in the 70s), avant garde, gold, black, urbanite.

Apparently inspired by a trip made to Woodstock by Vena Cava's design duo Sophie Buhai and Lisa Mayock, there wasn't even a hint of hippie here, instead, it was a gloriously vintage and youthfully glamourous collection.

The vintage element lay mostly in the details; rounded sunglasses, hats, big jewels and furs, because deconstructed, the clothes themselves held quite a bit of contemporary It-Girl appeal.

Boxy cropped jackets, flirty skirts and culottes, party frocks and a cracker of a jumpsuit.

Studio 54 all the way baby...
