If we had to sum up Vena Cava's collection for the coming winter in one word, that would be it.
Actually, no, lets add a few more words. New York, Seventies, the sort of thing you might wear to art exhibition openings (in the 70s), avant garde, gold, black, urbanite.
Apparently inspired by a trip made to Woodstock by Vena Cava's design duo Sophie Buhai and Lisa Mayock, there wasn't even a hint of hippie here, instead, it was a gloriously vintage and youthfully glamourous collection.
The vintage element lay mostly in the details; rounded sunglasses, hats, big jewels and furs, because deconstructed, the clothes themselves held quite a bit of contemporary It-Girl appeal.
Boxy cropped jackets, flirty skirts and culottes, party frocks and a cracker of a jumpsuit.
Studio 54 all the way baby...
