A Détacher sent a decidedly 'country' collection down the New York catwalk for Fall, although there wasn't a cowboy hat to be seen - this was a more Laura Ashley vision of country. And we liked it a lot.
A gentle palette of browns, camels and soft greens had been injected with flashes of blue; whilst textures were all tactile ones, nubbly knits, velvets, crochet and soft silks.
A little bit Land Girl (we're loving the grey socks and tights) a little bit 70s uptown Mom, there was plenty here that would slide easily into a winter wardrobe.
With their array of sweet short dresses, oversized wrapped cardigans, slouchy peg leg trousers and coccoon shaped coats, A Détacher were never going to win prizes for theatrical flair, but then fashion is also about the applicable, wearable and ultimately saleable.
This collection ticked all of those boxes.
