A WALK ON THE WILD SIDE

We're often to be found showcasing all manner of super Danish designs in terms of furniture and interiors here at M.E., but the sartorial side of Danish creativity shouldn't be overlooked either...

From the 11th of June, the Danish Museum of Art & Design will be putting Danish fashion history in the spotlight with an exhibition of work from the legendary designer Margit Brandt, focussing on the pieces created between 1965 and 1980.

'A Walk On The Wild Side' tells the tale of Margit Brandt's design through clothes, sketches, fabric samples, photos, film footage and inspirational items that have defined her career, providing a unique look into a riveting fashion period.

Considered the 'Danish Mary Quant', Brandt's clothes practically exploded onto the Danish and world markets alike, and their innovative design radiated youth and energy, simplicity and refinement.

The show is on view until mid September of this year, and if you're a fashion fiend in Copenhagen; well worth a visit.
