COLOUR AND CUT

Up in Copenhagen, fashion week has swung around again, and we've been keeping tabs on events there since last year's edition began our Scandinavian fashion obsession.

Henrik Vibskov showed a collection of looks for men and women on Friday which really grabbed our interest - essentially a selection of colour and cut that trod nicely outside of the norm without descent into wacky.

For the girls, a palette of yellow and soft grey was the order of the day, cinched and belted at the waist and accessorised with headscarves (we're seeing a lot of head wrapping lately) and avatior/swimming goggle type shades.

Actually the whole women's collection had a sort of aviator hint; where deconstructed flying jackets and trenches seemed to be the starting point for many of the dresses.

For the boys, colour blocking (most noticably in the form of a entire suit) in black, tomato red and mauve was the order of the day, with relaxed tailoring generating some very nice pieces indeed.

For S/S 2011, we suggest you head to Vibskov for shorts and shirts to keep smart, but not square.
