If you thought MaxMara had pushed the boat out with their citrus punches of colour for Spring, then trust Miuccia Prada to take things further...
It was an expert blend of electric blue, bold yellow, jungle green and an almost neon red, paired with shapes that had a faintly retro whiff about them; we spied 20s inspired hemlines, 50s jackets, 60s cartoonishness (the sunglasses!!) and even shades of 80s powerdressing.
And those prints. Stripes, cherubs, florals; even bananas...
Yet it all turned out very modern indeed - isolate that slicked-back flapper hair and you're left with a pop glam, riviera-tinged, holiday-ready collection that made us long for the summer we've just had, and a feeling of looking forward to the one to come.
All in all - a ray of bold sunshine and optimism for the coming season.
Which makes us wonder. Does Prada ever do anything that's not awesome?
