Well, we can safely say for certain that Louis Vuitton's Spring 2011 collection is not full of nice and safe neat white dresses for garden parties.
What it is bursting with is colour. And sequins. And satins. And prints. And lace. And... ok you get the picture.
The almost entirely night-time appropriate collection served up by Marc Jacobs' was a proper riot of Oriental inspired party clothes (from cheongsams to a whopping great panda on one top) and seemed both refreshingly maximalist; and really, really fun.
Clashing orange and hot pink, turquiose and purple, gilded flapper dresses and lacy hotpants are Spring's new thing according to Jacobs, and from Carmen Kass' gleaming flame-red hair down to those glitter-heeled stillettos, we loved this.
