Michael Kors RTW Fall 2010

WINTER 2010 KNITWEAR ROUNDUP

With temperatures dropping and flocks of sheep running all over the streets of London earlier this month in a move to promote wool, it's clearly time to invest in something a little warmer.

And your options are wide open this season, since the fall catwalks were awash with every type of winter wool piece from body-con to cocooning and cosy.

Scottish knitwear royalty Pringle served up a severe medieval-slash-gothic aesthetic, Michael Kors went for all-American, sexy, oversize glamour, whilst in contrast, Stella McCartney kept it neat and polished, plumping for streamlined, classic shaped knits.

We loved Rodarte's folky, wrapover knit which featured in a suitably poetic collection based around sleepwalking by way of a trip to the Mexican border and Missoni, a brand built entirely on knitwear, brought a great mix of clashing colour which made a refreshing change from the sea of camel and grey.

Essentially, what we're saying is take your pick, because whatever colour, shape, or form; from big 'ole jumper to skintight dress, wool is where it's at.
