A bit of directional shopping just in time for the weekend...

We're pretty taken by these sandal/heel hybrid 'Sunken Pumps' in tan from the S/S 2011 collection by Maison Martin Margiela Line 22.

Just in at online fashion mecca La Garconne, they feature an avant garde cut-out top and inner leather strap; a design based on the concept of a traditional platform but with the platform removed so it looks as if the foot sinks into the shoe.

They'll cost you a pretty penny, but in terms of sky high heels, they look like they'd might actually be rather comfy too.
