Frothy, frilly, feminine and featherweight kind of sums up Elie Saab's Spring 2012 couture show in Paris last week.

The Lebanese couturier presented a stream of dresses in a soft pastel rainbow that went from white to mint to peach, and the on to taupe, lemon, powder blue and baby pink.

Shimmery and sheer, there was much here for the red carpet gang - in both full length and shorter versions - and with classic shapes highlighted by the immaculate quality of detailing you'd expect from a couture house, this was yet another perfect show from Mr Saab.
