Take a look at these beautifully crafted contemporary jewellery pieces from London-based studio Smith/Grey.
Founded by jewellery designer Birgit Marie Schmidt and creative strategist Sofus Graae, their approach is to use narratives to unlock the imagination and awaken curiosity - employing motifs inspired by memories, stories and traditions.
Among their current collections for women are ''I Can’t Seem to Get Rid of the Horses' and 'At Night I Dream of Peculiar Things'.
We're loving the striking organic shapes of the latter range; crafted in silver, plated with gold or black rhodium and inspired by Ernst Haeckel's illustrations in his book 'Art Forms in Nature'.
Smith/Grey also currently have a collection for men, called 'Ivy Noir', featuring cufflinks, rings, and collar stiffeners in precious metals.
And we're pleased to say that the duo's imaginative work has already attracted plenty of well-deserved praise.
Last year, the collection 'I Can’t Seem to Get Rid of the Horses' received the Theo Fennell ‘Best in Jewellery’ Award, the Wolf&Badger Graduate Award for Jewellery and the Matthews Wrightson Starting Your Own Business Award.
Here's to many more collections; and we wouldn't be surprised if with them, come more awards...
