It was young, fresh, 80s and massively shoulderpadded, but Balmain's new season collection came stomping down the Parisian catwalk fulfilling the dreams of LA party girls and cooler than thou fashionistas in one dramatic swoop.

The emphasised shoulder pads on the jackets might be too edgy for some, but the cut was immaculate and the details will surely inspire copycats. For the girly girl there were plenty of great party dresses on offer and sparkle aplenty. Not a collection for wallflowers but inspiring and energetic nonetheless.
