Forget wearable, forget sensible; we know by now that these are two things Gareth Pugh doesn't do.

But we love him just the same for his theatrical daring and psuedo-architural-slash-fetish creations that push boundaries and refuse to conform. The darling of St. Martins  recent alumni has been to Paris, and was received with open arms by everybody who's everybody in French fashion. His Spring/Summer 2009 collection was futuristic robotic historical, and was executed with enough dexterity to mark him out as having moved from the obscurity of London's fringe to that status of 'un nouveau l'enfant terrible'.
