PAPER MOUNTAIN

PAPER MOUNTAIN

This impressive example of model building made us smile today.

It's the result of a collaboration between British graphic designer and art director Alex Ostrowski, and illustrator and set maker Hattie Newman.

The impressive miniature Fedrigoni mountain range was created using Fedrigoni papers, and the the pair also commissioned twelve intrepid illustrators to 'explore' the paper slopes, visualising their discoveries on B1 sheets of paper.

Ostrowski and Newman placed little clues all over the model for the illustrators to follow, including a plane, a native village and an abandoned camp. The illustrators then elaborated on these landmarks to conjure an imaginary adventure up the mountain.

The exhibition of the mountains and their explorers' artwork opened this week, at Fedrigoni's London showroom in Hatton Garden, London and will be open until the end of April 30th.
