Estonia-born, London-based designer Evelin Kasikov speciality is tactile typography, and M.E. has fallen for the intriging way she handles bold colour and subtle hues alike.
The core of her work focuses on tactile and handmade type, communicating graphically using stitching and embroidery. Take a scroll though her portfolio above; we think it demonstrates a charming, contemporary and clever application of a little-explored craft.
A recent graduate of Central Saint Martins MA Communication Design course, she's already produced work for clients such as print giants Phaidon, won several awards (Best of European Graduate Design as part of Designhuis Eindhoven during Dutch Design Week 2008 to name just one...) and created a range of projects from book covers to poster designs.

This is just the type of design I adore and strive for myself. I have always been a massive fan of using texture to communicate to users with the aim of bringing non savy design people into the world of understanding the creative possibilities of design.
This piece of work just feels and looks so fresh, the hand crafted quality just radiates of care and attention to detail but also something unique and very personal.
