Japanese artist Takashi Iwasaki has an ethos which we wholeheartedly agree with:

"Life is too short to take gravely all the time. I want to delight in what I can when I can."

And with this as his central philosophy, Iwasaki takes delight in the nuances of bold colour and painstaking detail, using a variety of media to create his work.

Amongst them, hand embroidery, collage-making, drawing, painting, printmaking and computer based graphic web-design.

M.E. loves this series of fabulously titled, dreamlike paintings. Partially abstract, partially figurative, the playful swirl and buzz has us captivated.
