We recently discovered the work of LoFi-Studio; a Brussels-based multidisciplinary design practice and were mightily impressed by the breadth of projects they undertake.

So naturally, we thought we'd share.

Established by German product designer and interior architect Christiane Högner, it's a platform for projects ranging from objects and furniture to installations, as well as concept development, strategy, and graphic design.

The 'LoFi' or low-fidelity of their name refers to the music genre, which uses an aesthetic that deliberately embraces little defects as a unique quality, in contrast to the increasing level of technology that is at hand.

In borrowing this approach, Lofi Studio pursue an honest, no nonsense aesthetic using existing objects, combining new and old materials, and transforming known archetypes - pretty much devoted to the familiar environment of everyday life.

LP cover design, books, flyers, sofas, kitchen systems, and even chocolate shaped like a Swiss mountain range; we like the quirky subtlety of what they do.

Also, by the looks of their website at the moment, it seems a webshop is in the works too, so we say keep your eyes peeled...
