ARCHITECTURAL DYSTOPIAS BY OLALEKAN JEYIFOUS

Brooklyn-based architect and artist Olalekan Jeyifous has a pretty impressive portfolio of mixed media works which we think you ought to check out this afternoon; ranging from architecturally-inspired illustrations of eerily serene landscapes, to spaceship skylines and abstracted maps of urban-planning strategies.

Exploring the "tension between the given, experienced and imagined aspects of 'place' and the ways in which it is neither wholly known nor imagined but continuously constructed" Jeyifous' artworks have a part technical drawing, part digital rendering fantastical industrial style which we're liking a lot here at M.E.

Jeyifous has already exhibited in the New Museum of Contemporary Art, the Boiler Room in London, Rotterdam Architecture Biennale, the Drawing Center in Soho and la B.A.N.K in Paris amongst others; but your living room might be the next venue since you can also buy one of his mighty fine prints here.
