Now this is a fascinating thing; a comparison-style info app by Sydney-based design office Future Buro.

Apparently, it all started when Will O’Rourke and the Glue Society were asked to create a series of thought-provoking interstitial videos for TEDx Sydney 2011.

The approved concept was based on taking two seemingly contrasting subjects and seeing if there was any correlation between the two. For example is there any correlation between Olympic Gold Medalists and Suicide?

Future Buro were then set the task of creating an interactive extension of the concept for the TEDx audience to take away post-event.

"Our iPhone app solution allowed users to compare various contrasting criteria using a minimal visual interface which then displayed correlated results across a world map." say the office of the final design.

The app also picked up a bronze award at this year's Spikes Asia.

Can we also just say that whilst we think this is very clever stuff, M.E. find the facts chosen in this video demo a little morbid what with the fires and the bunnies and all.

But then again, we suppose it's good to know these things...
