More new work from ever-toiling M.E. favourites Nendo; this time, it's a quirky new souvenir product for the Cup Noodle Museum in Yokohama, Japan.

The studio have devised the 'Cupnoodle Urushi' which which acquaints visitors with Cup Noodle's history and production methods through a variety of experiences.

"We're all used to disposing of the Cup Noodle packaging after eating its contents." say Nendo.

"By asking lacquerware artisans to paint lacquer directly onto the ordinary packaging containers, one by one, we combined the familiar concepts of throwaway packaging and bowls for everyday home dining into one object, with a new value located somewhere in between."

A little bit classic, a little bit contemporary; but the final result is entirely Nendo.
